When I first came to Spring about 6 months ago I couldn’t run 500 metres without pain. Additionally I had great difficulty with prolonged periods of sitting and general mechanics. In fact I had no real concept of how much my life was being affected. These difficulties came about through injury playing rugby and years of bad training habits/technique. Today I am able to run upwards of 40km a week and most importantly I’m living pain free. With their knowledge of rehab and body mechanics Spring have set a benchmark for what I will look for in a Pilates studio. I would and do recommend Spring Pilates to anybody looking to improve their body function, fitness or recover from injury.

I have been a student of Pilates at with Larissa and the team at Spring Pilates for 5 years. I say student due to what I have learnt through those years. I started working with the team at Spring 6 weeks after the birth of my first child. An IVF pregnancy had left me overweight. My six-week-old baby had left me pooped. Pilates brought me my strength, muscle tone and flexibility back. Spring Pilates became my sanctuary – time and effort that I allowed myself without the immediate demands of a young family. Two years later my husband died suddenly. I was 6 weeks pregnant with my second child. Larissa Kelloway and her team supported me throughout a very difficult time and once my son was born, they assisted getting back into shape. Five years on from my initial appraisal at Spring – I am now addicted. I use Pilates as a form of personal growth, goal achievement and to maintain my fitness. I cannot recommend the team at Spring Pilates, with their attention to detail, excellence in physical conditioning, and the nurturing environment highly enough.
